Understand how your team interacts with guides — views, opens, dismissals, and usage trends.

Overview

WingMarq tracks how your team interacts with guides so you can understand what's working and where help is needed most. All analytics are available on the Insights page of your dashboard.

Metrics

WingMarq tracks three core events for every Marq:

Views

A guide notification appeared on the page. This tells you the Marq is matching correctly and reaching users.

Guide Opens

A user clicked a guide link from the notification. This is the key engagement metric — it means someone actually used the guide.

Dismissals

A user closed the notification without opening a guide. Useful for understanding if a Marq is showing on the wrong page or if the guide content needs improving.

Dashboard metrics

The main dashboard shows four headline numbers:

  • Views — total times any Marq notification was shown
  • Guide Opens — total guide links clicked
  • Open Rate — percentage of views that resulted in a guide open
  • Active Marqs — number of Marqs currently live in your workspace

Insights page

The Insights page provides deeper analysis:

  • Event breakdown — pie chart showing the split between views, opens, and dismissals
  • Top pages needing help — which URLs generate the most guide views
  • Most opened guides — which guides your team engages with most
  • Activity heatmap — when during the week your team uses guides (day × hour grid)

Use the period selector (7 / 30 / 90 days) to adjust the time range.

Privacy

WingMarq only tracks guide interaction events (view, open, dismiss). It does not track page content, user identities, keystrokes, or any personal data. Analytics are aggregated at the workspace level. See our privacy policy for full details.
