What WingMarq counts, how to read it, and what the numbers can't tell you.
Overview
The Analytics page of your dashboard shows how often WingMarq prompts were shown, how often guide links in them were clicked, and how often they were dismissed, as reported by extensions connected to your workspace. Home shows the latest of these events as they happen.
What is counted
Prompts shown
A Marq matched a page and its prompt appeared. This tells you the Marq is matching the pages you intended.
Guide links clicked
Someone clicked a guide link in a prompt, which opens the guide in a new tab. A click shows the guide was opened — not that it was read or helped.
Prompts dismissed
Someone closed the prompt. Many dismissals on one Marq can mean it shows on the wrong pages, or at the wrong moment.
Date ranges and views
- Choose the last 7, 30 or 90 days. These are reporting views over the events stored for your workspace.
- Totals for the range, a chart by day (7 days) or by week (30 and 90 days), and a table of each Marq's counts.
- Events from a Marq you have since deleted are shown as “Deleted Marq”.
- Days are counted in UTC.
What these numbers can't tell you
- Counts are events, not people. The extension sends no name, email or personal identifier, so WingMarq can't count individuals.
- Where two Marqs match the same page, one prompt is counted once for each Marq.
- Only extensions connected to your workspace report events, and only on pages a live Marq matches.
Privacy
WingMarq only records guide interaction events (view, open, dismiss), each with the Marq, the site’s address only and the time (events recorded before the 2 October 2026 server update include the full page address). It does not record page content, keystrokes, or who the person was. Events are stored per workspace and shown in aggregate. See our privacy policy for full details.
